Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 18, 2026

The short version

  • Corexis doesn't collect your data. There are no accounts, ads, analytics, tracking or crash-reporting tools in the app.
  • The app doesn't send your data over the internet, and we don't run any servers.
  • What you enter stays on your iPhone unless you choose to share it. Your iPhone's own iCloud or computer backups include it too. We can't see any of it.
  • On the App Store, the privacy label for Corexis will read "Data Not Collected".
  • If you email support, we use your message only to reply, then delete it.

Who we are

Corexis is published by Remdebund ("we" or "us"). You can reach us at corexisappsupport@remdebund.com.

This policy covers the Corexis iPhone app and this website, corexisapp.com.

The app never sends your information to us, so we have no access to it. We are the "data controller" only for the emails you send to support, the website's server logs described under This website, and the tester details Apple shares with us if you test Corexis through TestFlight (see Information Apple shares with us).

What the app stores on your iPhone

Corexis keeps what you enter in its own storage on your iPhone. That storage is shared only with the Corexis widget on the same iPhone. Corexis doesn't send any of it to us or anyone else, and we can't see it. There is no Corexis account, and the app never asks for your name, email address or phone number.

WhatWhy
Your surgery date and catheter removal dateTo count the days since surgery, and to keep the routine resting until your catheter is out and your care team has said you can start
That you accepted the disclaimer and finished setupSo the app doesn't ask again
Your routine: the built-in exercises and any you add, with their names, details, your own notes, sets, reps, hold and rest times, times per day, and whether each is pausedTo run the timer and show today's routine
Exercise sessions: date and time, exercise, reps, hold, rest and total times, and the week since surgeryTo show your progress, history, streaks and points
Pad entries: date, number and type of pads, and any note you addFor your pad tracking
Milestones you reach or log, and whenTo show your milestones
My Notes: your headings and the text under themTo keep your own record of what your care team told you
Streak, streak shield and points detailsFor streaks and points
Settings, such as sound on or off, which messages you've dismissed, and whether Apple's rating prompt has been shownTo remember your choices

The widget

If you add the Corexis widget to your Home Screen, it reads a small summary from the app's storage on your iPhone, such as your streak, today's progress, points, a status line, the number of days since surgery, and your surgery and catheter dates (used to work out the status). The widget never connects to anything.

The widget shows some of this wherever you place it (for example your Home Screen or StandBy), where people near you may see it. You can remove the widget at any time.

Reminders

Corexis can remind you when your next session is ready. Reminders are local notifications: your iPhone schedules and shows them, and nothing is sent over the internet.

You get reminders only if you allow notifications. iOS asks for permission only when you tap the button to turn reminders on. A reminder shows the title "Corexis" and a short line such as "Session 2 is ready when you are." It can appear on your Lock Screen.

To turn reminders off or hide their previews, go to iOS Settings > Notifications > Corexis.

Scan text and dictation

In My Notes you can use "Scan text" to copy printed text with your camera, or dictate with the microphone key on the keyboard. Both are Apple features built into iOS. iOS handles the camera or microphone and gives Corexis only the resulting text, which is saved like anything you type. Corexis never receives images or audio.

Depending on your iPhone and language, Apple may process dictation on your iPhone or on Apple's servers. Apple's privacy policy applies to Apple's features.

Backup files you create

You can make a backup file in the app: Settings > About > Privacy, then "Create backup file" and "Share backup file". Corexis creates the file on your iPhone and opens the iOS share sheet. You choose where it goes, for example Files, iCloud Drive, AirDrop or email. Corexis doesn't upload it anywhere.

The file is named like Corexis-Backup-2026-10-18.json. It is plain, readable text. It is not encrypted or password-protected, so anyone who has the file can read it. It contains your dates, exercise sessions, pad entries and their notes, milestones, streak details, your routine and exercises, and My Notes.

Once you save or share the file, the place or person you send it to handles it under their own terms. Keep it somewhere you trust.

To restore, go to the same screen and tap "Select backup file". A restore adds records that aren't already on your iPhone. It never overwrites existing records.

iPhone backups

If your iPhone backs up to iCloud, or to a computer (Finder on a Mac, or the Apple Devices app or iTunes on Windows), that backup includes app data, including Corexis data. These backups are made by Apple's software under Apple's terms. We never receive them.

In your iPhone's iCloud settings you can choose which apps are included in iCloud Backup. Apple's support pages show the current steps. If you leave Corexis out, its data won't be in your iCloud Backup, so make a backup file before you change iPhones.

Deleting your data

To erase everything, open Corexis and go to Settings > Data > Erase all data. The app first offers to make a backup ("Back up first"). To go ahead, tap "Continue", type ERASE, then tap "Erase everything". This can't be undone.

Erasing deletes, from this iPhone: your sessions, pad entries, notes, routine, dates, milestones, streak details and settings, the widget's data, any Corexis reminders that are scheduled or showing, and any temporary backup file the app made for sharing. Corexis then starts again as if newly installed.

Deleting the Corexis app from your iPhone also deletes its data from the iPhone. Offloading the app (an iOS storage option) keeps its data.

Erasing can't remove backup files you've already saved or shared, or iCloud and computer backups of your iPhone made before you erased. You can delete those where you saved them, or in Apple's backup settings.

We never receive your app data, so there is nothing for us to delete on our side.

Purchases

Corexis may offer subscriptions or a one-time purchase. Any purchase is made through Apple's App Store. Apple handles the payment and your purchase records under Apple's own terms and privacy policy. We never receive your payment details or your Apple ID.

Checking or restoring a purchase happens between your iPhone and Apple. Apple gives us sales totals, described in the next section.

Information Apple shares with us

Apple gives app developers some information through its developer tools:

  • Totals such as downloads, sales and the countries they come from. These don't identify you.
  • Crash reports and usage statistics, such as how often the app is opened, but only from people who turned on "Share With App Developers" in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements. Apple collects these under its own privacy policy, and they don't identify you to us.
  • If you test an early version of Corexis through Apple's TestFlight, Apple shows us the details you share as a tester, such as your name, your email address if you were invited by email, and any feedback you send.

We use this information only to fix and improve Corexis.

App Store reviews

The app may show Apple's rating prompt, for example after a 7-day streak, and Apple limits how often it appears. If you rate or review Corexis, Apple shows your rating and review on the App Store under Apple's terms.

We see what everyone sees: your App Store nickname, your rating and your review. Our replies are public too, so they stay general and never discuss anyone's health.

Emailing support

If you email corexisappsupport@remdebund.com, we receive your email address, your message and anything you include with it.

  • We use it only to reply to you.
  • We don't add you to any mailing list, and we don't share your message with anyone apart from our email provider, which stores it for us.
  • We delete the email once your question is handled. Copies can remain in our email provider's backups for a limited time before they are removed.
  • You can write from an alias address, such as iCloud Hide My Email. We'll reply to that address.

This inbox isn't for medical questions. Please don't send health details. For anything about your health, contact your care team, or emergency services if it's urgent. If you include health details anyway, we won't use or discuss them, and we delete them with the rest of the email.

Our email provider, Google (Google Workspace), stores messages for us. See Google’s privacy policy.

If you are in the EU or UK, our legal basis for using your email is our legitimate interest in answering your message.

This website

This website has no cookies, analytics, tracking, forms or third-party content. It loads nothing from other sites.

Like any website, it needs a host. Our host, Cloudflare, processes visitors' IP addresses and request details (such as the page requested, the time and the browser type) in server logs to deliver and protect the site. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

We don't use these logs to identify visitors. Our host may show us basic totals, such as the number of requests and the countries they came from, which don't identify anyone.

If you are in the EU or UK, our legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a working, secure website.

No selling, no targeted ads

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have not done either in the past 12 months. These terms are used in California's privacy law (the CCPA, as amended by the CPRA) and similar US state laws.

Corexis shows no ads, and there is no targeted advertising. We don't use your information for profiling or automated decisions about you.

Children

Corexis is intended for adults. It isn't directed to children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you think a child has emailed us, contact us and we'll delete the message.

Your rights

Your app data never reaches us, so you control it in the app. You can view or change it at any time, export it with "Create backup file", and erase it with "Erase all data".

For the information we do hold (support emails, TestFlight tester details, and the server logs our host keeps):

  • EU, EEA and UK. Under the GDPR and UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct or delete your information, to restrict or object to our use of it, and to receive a copy. You can also complain to a data protection supervisory authority, such as the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) or the authority where you live.
  • United States. Depending on your state, including California, you can ask to know, access, correct or delete your personal information. We won't treat you differently for using these rights. We don't sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of.
  • Australia and Canada. You can ask to access or correct your information. You can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

To use any of these rights, email corexisappsupport@remdebund.com. We may need to confirm the request comes from you, for example by replying to the address you wrote from. We answer within the time limits set by law, for example one month under the GDPR. If we can't do what you ask, we'll explain why, and you can ask us to reconsider by replying.

International transfers

Your app data stays on your iPhone, so it isn't transferred anywhere. Our email provider and website host may store or process support emails and server logs in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where the law requires it, these transfers rely on safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll say so on this page and, where possible, in the app.
