Common questions
What is Corexis?
Corexis is an iPhone companion for men recovering from prostatectomy. It gives you a timer for the pelvic floor (Kegel) routine your care team advised, along with tracking, a Home Screen widget and a place for your own notes.
Is Corexis a medical device?
No. Corexis is a wellness companion. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and your care team's instructions always come first.
Why does Corexis say “Resting for now”?
From surgery day, your routine rests, with no exercises or reminders. It starts once you add your catheter removal date and confirm that your care team has said you can start: tap “I can start” on Home, or use Settings, then Catheter removal.
How do I change my routine?
Open Settings, find Your routine and tap “Customise”. For each exercise you can set times per day and, with “Custom numbers”, the sets, reps, hold and rest. Use “Add Exercise” for your own, and the menu on an exercise to “Pause exercise”; “Resume” brings it back.
How do reminders work?
After a session, Corexis can remind you when the next one is ready, never at or after 9 pm. There is no reminder for the first session of the day, once today's routine is done, or while your routine is resting. To turn reminders on or off, tap “Session reminders” under Notifications in Settings, which may take you to iOS Settings.
How do I add the widget?
Touch and hold an empty area of your Home Screen, then tap Edit or +, and choose Add Widget. Search for “Corexis”, pick the small or medium size and tap Add Widget.
How do I back up my data or move to a new iPhone?
Go to Settings, then About, then Privacy, tap “Create backup file”, then “Share backup file” and choose where to save it. The file is not encrypted, so keep it somewhere private. On the new iPhone, set up Corexis, open the same screen and tap “Select backup file”; existing records are never overwritten, only new ones are added.
How do I delete my data?
Go to Settings, then Data, then “Erase all data”, and confirm. This removes your sessions, pad entries, notes, routine and settings from that iPhone and can't be undone. Deleting the app also removes its data from your iPhone; backup files you saved or shared elsewhere, and iPhone backups made by iCloud or a computer, are not affected.
Does Corexis collect my data?
No. Corexis has no accounts and no analytics, the app doesn't send your data anywhere, and your data stays on your iPhone unless you choose to share a backup file. Its App Store privacy label will read “Data Not Collected”.
Which devices does it work on?
Corexis is made for iPhone. The App Store listing shows the iOS version it needs.
